Wedding Registry

Yes, we're including actual registry cards with the invitations, but for those few who check here and would like some advance warning we've registered at Bed, Bath and Beyond already, and are considering either Wal-Mart of Target. I'm voting Target for better quality stuff, but Maryanne's voting Wal-Mart for ease of shopping to our guests. And, since the whole point of a registry is to actually -get- gifts, Wal-Mart makes better sense to me.

And it -is- kind of fun to go "wish-list" shopping for rice steamers, spice racks, and DVD players., despite the attempts of wedding consultants to drain the life out of Maryanne and I by guiding us on a page-by-page tour of their store catalog. Maryanne's nice to the salespeople and says nothing. I'm... very D.J. to them.

Saleslady: "You didn't get enough 'kitchen gadgets' on your registry! Most people have a page of just gadgets!"
Me: "We already each have a ton of stuff, and your store didn't have some of the stuff we wanted."

In my defense, I was exhausted and it was 9:30 by that time. And the saleslady -really- did have it coming to her.
