The Periphery of the Mind

Another day at sea. Another day of binge eating, without the purging.

Nothing major happened that day really. During the day there wasn't much to do on the boat. The pools were filled, and so were the hot tubs. We played some in the casino, and I made $5 at blackjack. Five dollars which were promptly turned into coins and lost at nickle slots. We both crashed that night, and missed out on some shows. Between the time zone change, the constant rocking of the boat, and possible allergies from the odd-tasting water, sleeping was a popular hobby for days when we were out to sea.

One nice touch we found though, was the first towel animal. See, staffers were often busy cleaning our room. I'm not sure why, since we had it so trashed with clothes and what not scattered around. But the room service would come and make the bed and change the towels at least. And on a few occasions they left behind "towel animals". Supposedly they do this on their own initiative, and it really was a fun surprise after coming back from a day at the beach or whatever.
