Camera's and Photo Stuff.

Maryanne picked up a Canon A620 on ebay for cheap. It seems to be a pretty nifty camera, and the package bundle it came with wasn't too bad. 512MB of high speed SD ram, some good rechargable batteries, and some other odds and ends for under $450. Seems like a pretty spiffy camera, and should last her for some time.

After talking with my friend Matthew, the "professional hobbyist" photographer who took probably all of my favorite shots from the wedding, I'm going to try and track down a good hard carrying case. Not sure how much she intends to take the camera into the great outdoors, but either way a nice case seems like a sound investment.

Speaking of Matthew, his work will soon be on display at the New Orleans Hotel & Spa in Eureka Springs. He had some for sale in the Iris art gallery in Fayetteville, but after seeing the kinds of garbage they displayed there I think he was in the wrong venue. So in an attempt to drum up hype for a friend, I'll post some of his pics here.
