Designing Bullshit

I confess I don't understand all the ins and outs of the design process. I know Maryanne's got skills with Photoshop that are borderline frightening. I used to play with Photoshop pretty heavily, but I can sit and watch her work, ask questions, and learn all kinds of stuff. Until she gets annoyed as hell with my yapping and tries to tune me out so she can work.

Anyway, I came across this article a while back, and thought it worth sharing. When logical arguments and compromises fail, how does the designer convince the client that her intuitive choices are correct? She tells them about color schemes, and geometric evolutions in style, and so forth.

She bullshits.
