Weekend Cooking

I finally did it! I finally cooked some tuna steak!

Wal Mart of all places had two different kinds, one $6 a pound and the other $12. Not sure what the difference is really, but I went with the cheaper, reddish kind. Marinaded it a couple of different ways for three hours, and threw it in the smoker. It was similar to some of the chicken I've marinaded and smoked, but had a different texture. More flakey and fishy. Anyway, I'd still like to try it, but I think next time I may coat it in lemon juice and pepper before grilling, and skip the marinade.

I also experimented with a Cake of Hate and Doom. A two layer brownie cake, with a peanut butter and caramel middle, and whipped butter cream frosting. Super sweet, but pretty good.

Comments:
I swear, Fayetteville has the best little grocery stores in the area. Of course, they kind of have to, what with the specialty food stores and Wal-Marts everywhere.
