Ate some pizza at
Papa Murphy's on Friday, and I was underwhelmed. Basically you go in, tell them what you want on your pizza, they add toppings and such to the dough in front of you, then they seal the uncooked pizza up and send it home with you to cook yourself or throw in the freezer for later. That's actually a kind of neat idea, pizza that you can cook when you want, that's restaurant quality, and pretty generous with the toppings to boot. Problem is, between the hassle of going to get the pizza yourself (I don't think they deliver), the cost of the pizza (about the same as anywhere else), and the quality of the food (yummy, but made me sick the next day), I'm going to have to avoid them like the plague they gave me. Not as bad as my experiences with CiCi's Pizza, but pretty close.
So Saturday was mostly a bust. Missed out on seeing the family for my sister's birthday. I did run around a bike show in Bentonville for a bit after my stomach settled some, taking pictures with the Professor for reference material for her job.
Sunday was good though. Picked up a
first-aid kit at Sam's Club. 326 pieces divided between two kits. Which I managed to cram into the outdoor kit. Not sure what we'll need over a hundred band-aids for, but we have them damn it! Given my obsession over picking out a medical kit, the Professor is convinced that
now something will happen and we'll need one, my obsession jinxing us. "Well, don't come crying to me when you're unconcious" is about my only response.
I went and saw Shanna, Shane, and Katy for Shanna's birthday. Baked shrimp skewers, potatoe casserole, corncobs, and a yummy brownie cake thing. Pretty spiffy, and a fun time!
